# Social

Story will automatically generate social media icons when you add URL addresses in the Social settings.&#x20;

Choose which social accounts to display on your header and footer by entering the full URL address in the fields. If a field is blank, no icon is displayed for that social network:

<figure><img src="/files/0ksODvENUyIn40PBYXcK" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Header social icons

To display the social icons in the header, choose "**Logo above menu**" as the Header style under the Header settings:

<figure><img src="/files/7WEht6jiDOulQH7FWvr2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The mobile-drawer menu style will also display the social icons at the bottom of the drawer:

<figure><img src="/files/CPrjRXWqvPqYDCA7HEvU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Footer social icons

Social icons can be displayed at the bottom of the footer. Use the **subfooter** settings to toggle displaying social icons:

## Custom social icons

If you have a custom social media network icon you'd like to display, Story provides you with three additional link and image options:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://story.groupthought.com/settings/theme-settings/social.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
