Story theme includes two types of upselling promotions:
Static product upsell promotion
Custom paired upsell promotion
A static promotion is very simple to activate and start using. One product is chosen and will be the promoted product for all product pages (using the same product template), and also when an item is added to the cart.
For greater flexibility, custom paired promotions can allow you to selectively match products with other products. Story theme uses the power of metafields to match products with each other.
